Seniors
and Law Enforcement Together
WHAT
IS TRIAD?
TRIAD is community policing initiative between
seniors, law enforcement, and service providers
to increase safety through education and crime
prevention.
Citizens
Police Academy-
In
September 2004, we held our first Citizen Police
Academy. The class was held once a week
for 3 hours each and taught by several different
instructors including Joe Pierapan from the District
Attorneys’ Office, Chief Larry Higgins, Officer
Deanna Strout, Officer Jeff Coe, Officer George
Adams, and Susan Dowling from the Elizabeth
Freeman Center. The class was able to demonstrate
how difficult Officers jobs can be in certain
situations and what steps Officers have to rectify
the situation.
Anyone
interested in information regarding the Citizen
Police Academy please contact Officer John Thibodeau
at the Dalton Police Department.
